Happy New Years Eve!

It has been a long time!

As usual, holidays have been crazy, I am super glad that I had a bunch of achievements saved up to float me through the holidays.

My DK is 100, I transferred/faction changed my druid, I bought the Legion expansion and got a level 100 warrior, and I got a bunch of mounts!

-My husband and I got the deluxe edition of Legion, so we got the mount that came with that.

-My husband was super awesome and bought me the Minion of Grumpus for Christmas, so I didn't have to do all the poorly thought-out dailies for nothing.  :)

-And, super excitingly!, I got my Blue Protodrake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The catch?  I got it on one of my lower level horde toons, and I can't learn it because I don't have the gold to learn the flying to use it.  (Transferred all my horde gold with my druid.)

But honestly, I'm okay with it.  It gives me an excuse to work on my fourth level 100 for my Quintet, and maybe start farming for the drake in Stonecore.  I'm just glad I don't have to park any more toons outside in Northrend.  Now, if only I could get Invincible I'd be DONE going to Northrend (until the Northrend raid pets.  Can't wait.)

And all of those mounts got me my mount parade!!!!  Now I feel the crushing goal of getting my 300 mount achievement.  There will be another mount list coming up.

I also finally paid off all my debt to hubby!  So now I just need to focus on getting gold cap.  And finding out where the BMAH actually is.

It's New Years Eve, btw.  Given how the past two years have been, the only resolution I have is to just be happier and have a better year than the last.  I hope everyone else has a better year too!

Life is still busy, but this is my last week of corporate work (YAY!) So I'm looking forward to that freeing up some time.

Lately I've just been focusing on farming mounts, farming gold, and paying back gold.  (Heroic Cata raids are the way to go by far.)  I've also been working on leveling my DK.

Strange tip: If you can't get into leveling your alt, put a cool transmog on it.  Leveling alts are a lot more fun when they are wearing shiny gear.  I'll probably be 98 on my DK tonight.

I'm four mounts away from my 200 mount achievement, and its happy TUESDAY! So hopefully I'll be a little lucky this week.  I haven't had too much luck, except I got my panther from ZG, so thats exciting.  Still no Blue Proto-drake.  I'll be so so happy when I don't have to take time out of my day to run that six times.

I do have a few more achievements to report.  Nothing too exciting.

A ton more achievements, finishing up Lich King Raid

I managed to get quite a few more achievements in the past few days.  I've been cleaning out a few of the Lich King raid achievements.  (Have you seen how many there are?!  It's insane!)

Good news is I and hubby can easily kill Heroic Lich King and Yogg-0, on two sets of alts, so weekly mount farm is ON!

Also, running these instances is GREAT money, which helps with the whole hoping to get gold capped thing.  More update on that progress later.

Despite being so far ahead...I haven't done any Christmas shopping.  It sucks.  I have to get on that, but really hate standing in lines and holliday traffic.  I guess that leaves me with Walmart at 3am and internet shopping.  I'll figure it out.

I also still need to do bathroom demo.  And pack up everything.  And train people how to do ridiculous complicated billing at work so I can quit.  Ugh.  WoW is more fun.

But I'm glad I have it, I would have been sad if I didn't get it next expansion, so I think it was well worth the money.  Maybe not earned the traditional way, but farming gold is 'work' too, and I fully intend on paying him back.  (Added it to the tab, lol.)

There wasn't too much farming today, except heroic farming, which netted 0 mounts.  We farmed renovation materials instead.  Was not fun.


Tonight I'm feeling kind of tired and unmotivated, so I might just kill Onyxia a couple times, maybe do a LFR (which is basically AFK in the back.)  I have to get up slightly early for the festivities tomorrow and have to be slightly functional, so I may not do too much tonight before sleeping.

LUCKY Monday!

It rocks to have a Monday that is awesome once in a while!

First order of awesomeness: I discovered that Al'Akir is now soloable, so I can start working on that.

Second order of awesomeness: Almost immediately after I read the words "Assume the mount isn't going to drop" about Alturius, the drake of the north wind dropped for me.  First time ever running it outside of Cataclysm.

I told Hubby make the bathroom these colors!

Pretty sure all my luck has been spent this week, but its nice to have one time sink off the list!  I'm pretty stoked.



While researching, I also read that heroic cataclysm dungeons are pretty easy now, so I may just go on an achievement spree, its going to be good to have a bunch banked up before the holiday seasons.  Especially since I have 0 Christmas shopping done, I'm doing a reno on the house I'm moving into, taking care of hubby's grandmother, and my work from home contract runs out on December 31st.  (This is actually a good thing, but I have to infodump all my knowledge into my replacement.  And hope she doesn't jump ship like she suggested she might. May take a "not my problem" approach to this one.)

I just realized there is now a 300 mount achievement. I feel sad that I am so far behind.  But for now, I am 7 mounts away from my 200 mount achievement, so I feel the need to power towards that goal.



But, I haven't been playing WoW consistently for the past 4ish years, so I guess I can't complain.  I've been increasing my WoW mount farming efforts.

I finally transferred my main to the new server, and I'm happy its done.  I did a little farming for the bronze whelpling (about an hour) but, unsuprisingly, it hasn't dropped yet.


I've been working on some raids and old reputations I need to finish tonight (Avengers of Hyjal,) and I got a few more achievements.  And I worked on Icecrown Citadel with my Death Knight.  She's still a little gimpy, I might have to enlist in the help of hubby to help me farm Invincible.



In the future, I'm going to make another mount list to help kind of guide me towards getting the mounts I need for my 300 mount achievement.  I also need to start seriously leveling alts, and making some serious WoWcash.  But, for tonight, here's a few achievements.

I decided to try out some raid finder, since it's epics you can get while drooling on your keyboard.  I figure that perhaps it would alleviate the pain of being bad at killing stuff if I could get a couple purples.


I got a bit more gear, nothing amazing, but who knows.  Maybe farming apexis won't be so lame now.  It would be more advantageous to farm it on my priest, but considering my priest is my main (and where all the achievements are) I feel like I should stick with her.  As gimpy as she is.

It's been a busy week, I haven't had too much for anything except garrison chores.  It was nice to have a bunch of achievements banked up for the week, it took a load off.


As much as it is cheating, I'm going to use my two WoW anniversary achievements as my achievements.  Maybe partially because I feel cheated out of toys.  I'm a little sore about the lack of pet...and the charges (seriously?  Couldn't it just be toys?)



I'm also disappointed, because there is a couple transmog items I thought I had...but don't.  I really wanted to put on my white absolution set (SO pretty) just to find out I'm missing the shoulders and hat.  I'm really disappointed.  I could have sworn I had it (and really don't want to go back to black temple until my rogue goes for glaives.)  But, the set is pretty enough I might just go for it.


I'm actually kind of torn on what to do.  I want to level my alts for the monies, but I also want to farm mounts.  Which means apexis shards.  Which means a lot of time on my alt.  Though, honestly, maybe my DPS alts could farm them a lot faster than my "smite pew pew."



Eh.  I may try out a raid finder tonight.  Or a heroic or two.  I've really slacked on those.

I've been doing pretty good doing achievements, I'm caught up and a little bit ahead, and I'll probably need it.


As of now, I'm thinking I'll be focusing on just getting achievements and leveling alts.  I have a lot of quests left over from my garisson inn to get random toys and pets, so I'm just going to do those and level alts.  Considering how much I've been ignoring dungeons, it will probably net me a few achievements as well.

HAPPY TUESDAY

I guess happy Tuesday is a thing for WoW.  Dungeons reset, weekly quests reset, I get another gold farmer from my head hunter, etc.

I am planning to replace all of my followers with followers that have the treasure hunting trait.  What is really awesome about this trait is that the gold benefit stacks with each follower.  Quests with gold rewards that need 3 followers could be a serious chunk of WoWcash.

Soloing raids is also a nice chunk of change as well.  I need to  be more diligent about it, especially getting my alts in on the action.  I have been slacking in the gold farming as well as the alt leveling department, especially while getting used to this life transition.

I managed to get two more achievements, finishing out this week on a Tuesday (how did THAT happen?)  I do plan on banking up some achievement points as well, if I can free up a couple weeks then I can focus on gold farming and alt leveling in preparation for the next expansion.

And I get to transfer my main and it's 7-tab guild soon!  YAY SERVER WITH AN ALIVE ECONOMY!!!!1!!1!ELEVEN!

I figured a good way to spend my achievement goals was to work towards getting my flying mounts.  It's pretty annoying not to have one.  I'm not a fan of how they handled the flying mount situation in this expac, but there's a billion rants on the forums that I am sure have covered all points of what I would say.


But think I'm butt hurt about the flying thing...just wait until my husband tries to get his.  He hates questing.

I finally managed to grab all six mounts from my garrison. I haven't worked on any of the other achievements that comes from the stables, I may work on that or look into it.  I'll have to transfer my character soon, now that I bought my bank slot from the guild vendor.

I'M BACK!

For the past couple weeks I haven't had my computer set up (had to redo the layout of my house.)  I have it back, and am very behind on achievements, but having a source of enjoyment/a hobby you like does wonders for your mental health.


I've definitely broken the chain of achieving seven achievements a week, but when the life horse bucks you off, just gotta get back on and make up for lost time!  I'm going to try to make up for the deficit of achievements I've lost.  Isn't perfect, but it keeps my achievement number climbing.


I'm kind of sad that I've missed out on Hallow's Eve achievement blogging time.  There is a wealth of achievements that this event could help you get, from pet leveling to alt leveling, but sometimes you just have to bow down to RL and accept that RL comes first sometimes.  (Can Sword Art Online become real?  Someone trap me in virtual reality.)

Luckily, I managed to get the two pets and toy that I didn't have in my collections.  Even though I didn't get my mount (no griping about it for this year, I definitely didn't give 100% trying to get it) I'm glad I got those.  Saves me a few thousand gold since I won't have to buy them.


My schedule in life has changed radically.  I have went from a 8-5 corporate whore job to a 24/7 caregiver job with a 16 hour part time corporate whore job.  You'd think living at home would allow for more WoW time, but it really doesn't.  Being a perfectionist, neat-freak caregiver takes up a lot of time, but I'm sure I'll adjust.


But hey, at least I get to wear my facial piercings and have cool hair again!

I hope for my posts to have more substance soon.  My life is in a big transition now, so posts are kind of useless to anyone except me at this point.

I have managed to get a couple of achievements despite my life-crazyness, and I plan to use them for the upcoming week, as suggested by my last post.  You gotta do what you gotta do, and if you can make goals despite what you gotta do, that just makes you a super hero.

Or an "over efficient" individual.  Supposedly that's a thing.  According to my therapist.  (I'm not convinced.)

So, I heard a rumor that you could make a lot of money in the firelands.  Considering I spoiled my nights sleep by taking a nap, I figured I'd test it out and see, and get some achievements along the way.


So far its easily soloable (though it takes a while as a healer.)  No mount drop, of course, but at least I'm getting some achievements from the bosses.  (AKA, doing them wrong.)

Well, at 8:55 I managed to get my 7 achievements, by saying fuck Nagrand quests and just level up cooking.

Fishing to the rescue again, it took almost no time to get it to 700, fishing between quests.  I might finish one quest.


For the rest of the week (lol 3 hours) I'll probably finish this one annoying skull quest (I don't want to kill all these cat people!  I'm a freakin healer!) and then do dishes and pack more boxes.  Because moving.

Despite the crazy, I managed to get my seven achievements for the week.  I got my fishing to level 700 (super easy with dailies.)

As for RL, there is a 95% chance we are going to be moving very soon, so I need to get packing, which is going to cut into my WoW time.  I had a grand plan of getting all my alts to 100 so I could FINALLY get my Hallow's Eve mount (who are we kidding, I still wouldn't get it,) but things need packed, so as of right now my goals are just going to be a) get my 7 achievements and b) work on getting to 20,000 gold on my main.  I want an item off of the guild page before I transfer, but I was a dummy and bought mounts and pets instead, so now I have to farm that gold, and its going pretty slow because the economy on my current server SUCKS.  I'm really anxious to get to the new server so I'll probably focus on that and put alts on the back burner.

Tomorrow I may or may not try to get a bunch of achievements done to kind of ease the pressure of the week.  We'll see.  At least I have Monday off!

Draenor Safari and Sunday Achievements

In the opposite spirit of last week, I'm getting quite a few achievements done today.

I had A LOT of trouble getting Draenor Safari done.  I couldn't find Frostshell Pincher or Ironclaw Scuttler on my alliance character.  (After lots of dying and exploring, at that.)  What I ended up having to do was get a horde character their garrison, and I found them both with very little difficulty.  I've read that finding them doesn't have anything to do with zoning problems, but I'm inclined to disagree with my experience.  But, anecdotal evidence is anecdotal, so take it how you will.

I also got my Hearthstone Steed.  It was not difficult.  At all, I would have everyone do it.  I won my steed in a total of four battles. (You need to win three card battles to get your mount.)  First battle I won.  Second one the person quit right away so I got a default win.  The third battle I got totally smashed.  Fourth battle, the person just timed out.  Easiest mount ever.

So, don't know how many more I'll get done today.  If I manage to get most of them, I may just focus on leveling my death knight on my new server, just to get a sort of financial foothold on the server before I start transferring toons.  I'm not going to transfer right away because a) I don't plan on really seriously playing the game until Legion comes out (WoD really was worst expansion ever, sorry not sorry,) and b) transferring is expensive, and my epically sucky week that I complained about in my blog last week also was so I'd like to give my IRL bank account a break.

As for now, I finally decided to give Hearthstone a try to see if I could get my free Hearthsteed mount.  Its not awful as a game, but I doubt I'll play it after my first 3 wins.

My blog posts have been pretty lame lately.  Almost as lame as the stress in my life.


Without angsty rants, I did manage to get an achievement this night.  I had been seriously questioning whether or not I'd be getting my seven achievements this week, but I got one.  My current goal is to just hit 100, now that I have all raid pets.  I'm sure a lot of achievements will come with level 100.

But, Prince Malcazar finally gave up his STUPID PET.

So yeah...this week sucked in a billion ways.

But instead of regaling you with a billion rants of my problems, I'll just be short and catalog what achievements I got for this week.

And for a tip with people reading for tips, I'm drunk out of my mind...and I got these achievements.  So if you're looking for easy achievements, here you go.

On to gathering more pets.  Because Karazhan hates me.  I hate it too.

Netherspace Abyssal is a lie.

I've done Karazhan with six characters for two weeks, and no Netherspace Abyssal.  So, as of now, I still have to do all of Karazhan every week to try and get this stupid pet.  Once I get it, DONE WITH KARAZHAN, including mount.

In other ironic news, my priest got the Thori'dal.  I'm totally keeping it.  And not bitter at all about the one binding sitting in my rogue's bank after I hoarded all my DKP for the second one and never saw it in the game.  Ever.  On any toon.

I should probably report my achievement process.  Business as usual, this week is turning out to be as crazy as last week, so who knows if I'll get seven for this week.

Achievement update

It's kind of funny, I read back into my blog, horrified how awful getting "Rookie Pet Mob" would be. Happily, I just got it, and it didn't feel too awful.  I think it helped I was just slowly leveling and enjoying the pet battles.

Now, onto Overstuffed (OMG I love plushie Elekk...) and Pro Pet Mob.  THAT is gonna be a long grind.  (Or maybe it won't be so bad and I'll look back on this post and go pfffffft....)

Update on achievements

Well, today is a lazy post.  IRL has kind of exploded into badness, so I'm actually surprised that I have time to post at all.

I've been focusing on just getting my pets from raiding instances.  Of course, true to Murphy's law, I have all of the Karazan pets except for the last boss.  So I have to do the whole instance next week anyway.

Despite the crazy, I have gotten a couple more of achievements.  I hope to get enough to meet my week quota.

Back on the achievement horse! (Still want invincible...

It has been a HELL of a weekend.  Without going into too much detail, lets just say that I got no relaxation this weekend.  But life happens.

Anyway, I wanted to get back to getting an achievement a day.  However, when you grow up, your responsibilities also grow up.  So I decided on a different model for my achievements.  Instead of one each day, my goal is to get 7 a week.  That gives a lot more flexibility for RL to happen.  (For instance, working from home because someone gave you the responsibilities of your boss (who quit)'s job, but didn't give you the pay raise.  I'm not bitter at all.  Promise. Totally. *eye twitch*)

But, given it's been hell today and yesterday and I will need sleep, today's post is going to be short, sweet, and boring.  Below is the achievements for today.

Back again for Draenor!

Well, as evidenced by the long time away from my blog, I took a long break.  WoD didn't seem that interesting, and it had mega bad reviews, so I decided to take a break, play a few other games, play some IRL game, etc.

But I heard about Legion and it fulfilled two out of two criteria for me coming back...Emerald Dream and Demon Hunters.  So, here I am!

I don't know how long it will take for me to get into the swing of 1 achievement a day, I have a lot of catching up to do and a lot of IRL stuff going on, but I do plan to be back to blogging and achievement whoring.

I'm leveling slowly, just enjoying the ride and doing achievements and pet stuff.  Its nice not having to rush to level, to be honest.  I'm LOVING my garrison, I though I'd hate it but I'm more obsessed about leveling up my followers than I am leveling up myself!


For tonight, the only agenda I have is pet hunting.  I am super behind on pets! 458/600.  I'll have to remedy that, so far two pets out of the raids so thats awesome!

And...of course they'll be lots of gold farming, both in preparation of the expansion...aaaaaaaaand I may owe my hubby 160,000 since he decided to come back.  But I went ahead and splurged a little, 110g for 3 pets I didn't have.  Hell, being 142 pets behind I need all the help I can get!
