So, I tried to solo Kael'Thas.
And boy did I feel stupid.
It was nothing. Literally nothing. I could have been farming Alar all along. But I'm not going to stress about it too much, at least I know I don't have to worry about buying of off the BMAH, not going to even try since I can kill up to and including Kael'Thas in less than five minutes, probably on all of my characters.
I've been trying to get the mount off of Huolon...and it's killing my interest in the game so I think I'll take a break. Logging on every 40 ish minutes just to get a bunch of timeless coins kind of sucks, I'd rather level something or try to make money.
Speaking of leveling, I got my hunter to 90, and I'm halfway there with my engineering, just need to farm mats. I'm not sure whether I want to level my pally from 85-90 now (especially considering I need her exalted serpent riders so I can make the 5 mounts) or just get my warlock (that I hate playing and absolutely suck at) from 87 to 90 to just be quicker. I don't know really.
I haven't been updating much, and I don't think I will for a while. I've had a really really rough week coping with the miscarriage, to the point that I haven't wanted to play...or do anything. So I'm just going to take it easy for a while and not worry about goals until I feel mentally worried about doing so.

Reins of the Fiery Warhorse, and sometimes life sucks.
Well, last night I got the reins of the Fiery Warhorse. It's really nice to cross that mount off my list, it frees up some weekly time, and eliminates having to go out of my way to go to Karazhan weekly. Unfortunately, I haven't really been on the ball soloing a lot of the other mount raids, being disc priest and all, but now that my druid is better geared (thanks timeless isle welfare epics! [Actually, no, welfare is harder to get than timeless isle epics,]) I might start dipping my toes in to Ony. The last time I tried to solo Kael'Thas it was a total disaster, so I'll think on that later.
Sadly though, we found out the day before yesterday the husband and I lost our baby. It was completely unexpected. (We went in for minor complications, and 3 separate doctors told us that the baby was most likely fine, then the u/s showed no heartbeat.) I guess someone has to fill in the 1% of miscarriages that happen in the second trimester. I love the look of the mount, but I doubt I'll be using it now, as my brain connected it to a bad day. (My brain works in weird ways, I can't let myself be happy for the mount since I got it on the day we did the procedure to remove our baby.) We're doing as alright as we can be, but this blog probably won't be in the priority list for a while. I'm just focusing on quality time and doing enjoyable things with my husband, maybe level some of my alts etc. I got my hunter to 88 and her rested is still holding up, so I'm hoping to hit 90 with her before the 3 day weekend is over.
I think that's all for today.

Brawlers Guild as a Disc Priest.
I decided today that, if I was ever going to get my brawlers guild mount...I might actually have to try out the brawlers guild. Considering I came home extremely exhausted after work, going out to celebrate my husband's promotion (my life is awesome:), and staying up way too late trying to get mounts, I figured I'd at least peek in and see what it was about.
Prior to coming home, I did a little bit of googleing around to see if getting to rank 10 as a disc priest was viable. The resounding answer was: No. It was a little dissapointing considering that I neither want to change spec or farm gear in my three months prior to the new x-pac, but I figured WTH, just try a few fights.
Well the first rule of Brawlers Guild is: Never go into a fight blind. It won't end well. Just go read a quick strat first and it should go well. I got to rank two and called it a night, because I'm pretty exhausted, and I'd rather brawl when people aren't around to see my newbness.
But I got what has got to be one of the most awesome achievements ever.

Early Morning Achieving (Mount Runs.)
Well, right before I was about to go to bed, someone advertised for a world boss mount run.
So I summoned up all of my self discipline and said "OMG YAY I finally get to kill the bosses that have been tormenting me by being up with no group to kill them!" Aaaand...I went to kill them.
The sad new is: Four bosses and no mounts.
But the good news is: Since I haven't played for a year and a half, and my gear is so shitty, I got an upgrade from every single boss. I guess its a nice consolation prize. And I didn't even die and make a fool of myself on the bosses I never did.
And I got two achievements, I guess that's a consolation prize too, especially since my achievement is done for the day! (And I'm cheating and saying one of these achievements is for the night that I didn't log on due to I'M SO TIRED.)
Which is what I'm going to be when I get up to get ready for work in...6 hours.
Achieved:
Millions of Years of Evolution vs. My Fist
Praise the Sun!

Another Goal: 200 mounts
Wow, this has been a crazy week at both works. It has been Monday for 3 days now. It sucks.
Anyways, I decided to take a look to see how many mounts I had. 169...Loooooooooooooooooooooong way to go.
So feeling the crushing burden of all the mounts I don't have, I figure the best way would be to make a list of 31 mounts that I don't have that would be reasonably obtainable. Battle net makes this very easy. If you click on your profile and then go to your mounts, it will give you a list of all the mounts you don't have to go through. (However, I'm sure this is extremely common knowledge.)
1. Argent Hippogryph
2. Black Primal Raptor
3. Blue Proto Drake (heroic farming)
4. Bone White Primal Raptor
5. Brawlers Burly Mushan Beast (maybe)
6. Cobalt Primordial Direhorn (maybe, need to level tank)
7. Crimson Primal Direhorn (maybe, need to level tank)
8. Dark War Talbuk (all the nagrand farming omg)
9. Darkmoon Dancing Bear
10. Fiery Warhorse (Karazan)
11. Forsaken Warhorse (100 Champions Seals)
12. Grand Armored Wyvern (Dominance Offensive - Horde Rep Grind)
13. Green Primal Raptor
14. Grey Riding Camel
15. Headless Horseman's mount (Maybe THIS year will be the year...)
16. Jade Primoridal Direhorn
17. Jeweled Onyx Panther (Need to get Pally 90 and Exalted Cloud Serpent Riders)
18. Sunstone Panther
19. Jade Panther
20. Ruby Panther
21. Sapphire Panther
22. Onyxian Drake (maybe)
23. Orgrimmar Wolf
24. Phosphorescent stone drake (rare)
25. Red Primal Raptor
26. Rivendaires death charger
27. Silvermoon hawkstrider
28. Sky Golem
29. Silvermoon hawkstrider
30. Slate Primordial Direhorn
31. Subdued Seahorse
Bonus: Sunreaver Dragonhawk
Bonus: Swift Springstrider
Bonus: Thundering Onyx could serpent
Bonus: Time Lost Proto Drake
Bonus: Turbo-Charged Flying Machine
Bonus: Ultramarine Qiraji Battle Tank
Bonus: Vitreous Stone Drake
Bonus: Depleted Kyparium Rocket
Bonus: Geosynchronous World Spinner
I would suggest anyone who is doing this achievement to do this list. If not just for the fact, I thought I only had 162, yet I found a bunch of mounts I didn't buy from reputation vendors (presumably to save money since I already had the highest level mount achievement available.) It was a little bit of relief...except I paid about 170,000 gold to get all those mounts. Oh well, at least now they're bought. (And though I'm sad it cut into my invincible fund, at least I had the money to buy them.)
That's it for tonight, I did manage an achievement for today though.

BMAH woes(ish), and archaeology achievements.
Just a quick update before I get ready for work. Today is one of my 14 hours work days (both jobs) so I probably won't update again today (or get an achievement, usually I feel pretty dead after 14 hour days.) Not to mention I have a 14 hour-er tomorrow as well, so it's going to be pretty WoW-lite for the next couple days.
It took me a day to kind of get my footing again and get a sense of where my goals are (though not completely, I didn't really play my main that much.) I've pinned down at least a few solid goals before Warlords comes out, though I don't know if some of them might be a bit far-reaching.
Here's the ones I've ironed out:
1)Get my hunter's engineering maxed out
-All that's left is the pandaria stuff, which I'm already farming for. But let me tell you, getting those harmony motes is a pain in the ass. All the way up to level 86 (she needs to be 87) I got one measly mote...so by the time I get enough she'll probably be on her way to my second goal...
2)Have five level 90 characters
-I already have 3, and I'd like to have more than five, but I'm not going to push myself too much
3)Hit Gold cap (or at least sell all of my excess crap)
- I'm pretty far from gold cap at this point on any of my characters, but I would eventually like to have at least one gold capped character to sit at the BMAH and watch out for mounts. And I'd like to sell all my "stock" before Warlords hits and prices plummit.
4) (Maybe) level my alliance rogue to 90
-I don't know if this will be entirely possible, she's 71 now, but I realized, with only her and my main alliance side...I have no herbalists for my main's alchemy except her. It's going to be lame leveling up alchemy without herbs...almost as lame as rushing to level up the rogue. So we'll see about how that goes.
5)Have all highest level bags for all my bank slots and main slots on main.
-I think I only need 4 more. The funny part about this is for some reason, even though I've been a tailor ever since BC (when my character was made) I've never ended an expansion with fully decked out bag space. And with all the gear sets and trinkets and toys I have, I definitely need them.
As for the BMAH woes, there was a drake of the south wind up there. It's not one on my target, but it would have been nice to have since I imagine soloing Al'Akir is going to be an epic pain in the butt, even at level 100. But I set my limit at 100k, bid, and still didn't get it. I'm not too upset, I'd rather save my pennies for Invincible anyway.
And I almost got suckered into the new little mystery bags that they've been selling on the BMAH now. I saw it up for 6kish, read that you could get a mount, and put a bid in. Then I learned that sad things can happen, like my mining/herbing bot druid getting a set of cloth pvp items and was instantly hit with regret. Luckily, someone outbid me and I got my gold back...by the time I went to bed it was up to something like 10k. I'm not a gambler in RL or WoW life, so I'll just hope that other Invincible-rider-wannabees just drain all their money on that so when the real deal pops up I can snag it. (Fat chance, but a Night Elf can dream.)
Well, other than that, I got one achievement, Collector: Cracked Mogu Runestones. And for today, I'm going to download auction and try to get rid of as much crap as I can while I work. (Hey, it might make the day go a little faster. Any little bit helps when you're working 14 hours.
That is all.

Back Again (maybe)
So, as evidenced by my lack of posts, I took a hiatus...a LONG hiatus. I think probably the longest since I've started the game. There were a few things that led up to it.
1)Ever since cataclysm, I've been thoroughly disenchanted by the game and game decisions. I played a heroic raiding disc priest back when they were changing the class every two days. I had literally spent thousands re-gemming, enchanting, and reforging my gear, only to have my class change mid raid. That's right...MID RAID.
Now, I would understand if we were underpowered for a few patches, and let me tell you, being ANY healing class (except paladins) in the beginning of cataclysm was HELL. (Probably the first time leveling up actually made my heals WORSE.) Every class takes a ride on the fail train for a few patches. But the constant changing of the class at all, let alone while competitively raiding, completely broke my interest in raiding in WoW (or in general) at all. And that's a big part of the game. I quit in cata for a while because I just didn't feel like WoW deserved my money after the terrible decisions they were making.
2)Then came Pandaria. I resubbed to try it...only to find it was the most mind-numbingly BORING expac WoW had ever put out. For all its faults with balancing, at least Cata had beautiful, new, extremely unique zones to go and spend time in. Pandaria's zones were like Azeroth 2.0. Only LESS pretty and LESS interesting. And I found none of the lore interesting. Granted, in real life super spiritual pacifist races would be the absolute ideal...but in a video game where your main mode of leveling up is mass murdering creatures to make a bar go up...its so painfully boring. And it didn't help that I never was really a fan of the pandas anyway...back in BC when people were all hoping for Pandas instead of space squid for a race...I was praying that they wouldn't be. And pandaria is what happens when you take an April Fools joke and make it real...boring boring boring.
But now I'm back. And there's only one reason why I'm back: My favorite X-pac was burning crusade.
While I'm kind of sceptical of the 'going back in time thing' and all, I would absolutely LOVE to see what outland looked like before the shit hit the fan. I don't know if I'm going to pre-order or not (though having another 90 would be awesome...moar Raid solo-ers moar better.) I'm definitely not going to rush leveling or grind gear or raid in preparation...I admit when I resubbed...I played for two hours and got terribly bored, again. I'm going to focus on two things: Leveling my alts (and my last profession) and hoarding gold, because you know...I still need Invincible.
I don't think I'll be able to keep up with my former goal of 1 achievement a day anymore, however. A LOT has changed since I stopped playing. I traded my terrible, insano-boss, stressful for barely over minimum wage (and still feared my paycheck bouncing) part time job for two jobs (a full time mon-fri job and an additional one.) I've also added a couple RL pets to my pack and now I am expecting my first child. So there is a lot more to be done IRL. To add to that, my hubby has permanently dropped WoW to play wildstar, and really wants me to play with him, so I'll have to devote some of my non-exhausted time (which is rare these days) to leveling up my toon there.
Well, that is all for now, I have to get re-acquainted with the game. (And find some damn addons, going nuts.)
Oh, but I did get my achievements for yesterday.
